چکیده مقاله

The objective of this study was to examine the relationships of autonomy with adjustment among Iranian samples. Two hundred
and fifteen (215) Iranian college students were tested using the Self-Determination Scale to measure autonomy and, the General
Health Questionnaire to measure adjustment. Negative correlations were found between autonomy and depression (r= -.30),
anxiety (r= -.27), somatic symptoms (r= -.21), and social dysfunction (r= -.18). The results are discussed in terms of the Iranian
