Affect related to COVID-19(fear-inducing) was positively associated with the following: affect related to COVID-19 (constant) (p<0.001), affect related to COVID-19 (close) (p=0.023), self-assessed probability of contracting covid -19 perception (p=0.029) and own behaviors: physical distancing as a prevention measure(p=0.038), Affect related to COVID19(fear-inducing) was negatively associated with the following covid -19 personal experience: not knowing someone close have been infected with COVID-19 (suspected or confirmed) (p=0.026), was 0.4 unit lower comparing to knowing them. Affect related to COVID-19 (close-far away) was positively associated with the following: self-assessed probability and susceptibility of contracting covid -19 perception(p<0.001), affect related to (constant) (p=0.001), and assessment of ease/ difficulty in understanding what authorities say about restrictions and recommendations regarding to COVID-19 (p=0.026).
