The widespread adoption of technology to facilitate authentic communicative instruction among language learners is increasing, but its impact on self-directed language learning (SDLL) needs further investigation. With this objective in mind, the present study sought to explore English for Specific Purposes (ESP) learners’ perspectives on the use of technology-enhanced task-based language learning (TBLT) in the language learning of their itself means facilitating. The study used two survey instruments: a Likert scale and an open-ended questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive statistics, path analysis, and thematic analysis. The results of the quantitative data analysis showed that there was a significant influence of students’ learning needs and the use of self-directed language learning (SDLL) skills to learn English proficiency, especially when using language-based learning after implementation of technology-enhanced task (TBLT). As a result, ESP students are advised to enhance their organizational and practical skills, with encouragement to organize continuous English courses in and out of class. In other words, qualitative information indicated that technology-enhanced TBLT plays an important role in various ways of enhancing aspects of language learning -Students expressed concerns and created challenges in using language skills in language activities of the report. The findings of this study suggest that ESP teachers can use different strategies to support ESP students.
