Proposition and Implementation centralized DC/DC Converter based on current regulation for Adjustable Industrial Battery Discharge (Ni-Cd & Lead Acid)

چکیده مقاله

The authors propose a new buck converter based on battery discharge current controller for programmable battery discharger wherever the control value of discharge energy is necessary for battery life.  The parameter ripple input current was decreased to lower by proposed converter. The buck converter was paralleled with 2-level load that the loads input were connected with the contactors. The algorithm of controller not only was controlled the converter but the ON/OFF of contactor too, independently. Several advantages of the controller algorithm  can be achieves such as providing any discharge current and time(Ah) from specification of battery regardless of the battery type and also, improving the performance of system duo to low switching stress in high power density and easy implementation to parallel the extra load. Furthermore, the algorithm of controller is implemented on DSP (Digital signal processor) and the validation of performance carried out experimental prototype.
