چکیده مقاله
Introduction: The fundament of researches in cell biology and genetics is based on researches on animal cells. A permanent source of animal cells is required in research. The unity of cell sources is one of the most important keys, as well. Fibroblast banks can provide an appropriate source of animal cells for researchers.
Aim: The aim of this work is establishing a fibroblast bank for biological research.
Method: Skin tissues of animals are delivered in culture media with antibiotics. The sample is washed in ethanol and buffer, respectively. Then the tissue should be chopped finely with sharp instrument and incubate for 15 days in CO2 incubator. One week after start day the media should be refreshed every two other days. To stimulate cell division, they should be trypsinized 15 days after start day. Finally fibroblasts, which have been qualified in our quality control lab, are stored in liquid nitrogen after the third passage.
Results: By using a simple method several cell lines of fibroblasts have been established from native domestic animals, successfully.
Discussion: Establishing a fibroblast bank of native animals of Iran can be useful in the progress of biological research.
